Major reconstruction of water damaged living room
22,000 gallons of water flowed through this home from a second floor bathroom (a clean water supply line). Ceilings collapsed and gypsum boards throughout had to be removed.
This restoration project was huge and it became creative... Soffits were constructed and additional ceiling lighting was installed. The room was transformed. An other upgrade were the French Doors that replace simple glass slider doors.
Water can severally damage a structure that requires reconstruction. Why not turn this into an opportunity to improve the structure. Of course any costs beyond what are approved by the insurance provider would have to be covered by the building owner.
