New Floor
A storage pantry in a school cafeteria flooded. This caused the underlayment floor (engineered wood) to warp and swell which resulted in the cracking of the tile top floor. The maintenance department requested that we remove the tile floor so we could replace the warped sub-floor with marine grade wood sheeting.
Next, we were asked to quickly install a piece of used indoor-outdoor carpet as a temporary floor covering. It is anticipated that the temporary floor covering will be used for about two months until a replacement tile arrives. (During school vacation). At that time, the subfloor will receive a leveling coat of cement in preparation for the final tile installation.
