Manufactured flooring
Manufactured flooring is a term to describe wooden flooring surfaces that are composites of layers of wood laminates, plastics and adhesives. These floors are beautiful and compared to solid wood they are less expensive. The problem with manufactured flooring is that they delaminate and warp when they get wetted. They are not often salvageable. Wood on the other hans will swell when wetted, but can be dried and returned to its preloss condition.
Removing damaged manufactured floorings is a fairly quick process. After the moisture has been remove from the subfloor, new flooring materials can be installed. SERVPRO performs this work.
